Box Bee Install

Installing Boxed Bees This Last Spring... (early-May)

Taking out the feeder can.  False back is forward a bit.  Bars are removed to allow majority of bees to "fall" into hive with a gentle downward shake.

Queen cage.  The bees had been traveling for almost three days together, I believed they were ready to meet.

Popped the cage cork and placed it in the hive to help guide the bees in.

One lil downward shake.

# Two gentle downward shake.

Left the box by the hive to let them find their way.

Some die off seen.

The bees starting fanning and they all marched into the hive.

I let them do their thing and an hour later they were all inside.
These ladies got right to it.  No hesitation.

Three months later, they have completely filled out their hive.
